Writing, for Jason, is a way to express the ongoing story of theology and of the influence it has on our lives. With every book or article, he hopes readers get a better sense of the necessity of faith, the intricacies of human nature, and the complexities of divine mystery. Captivated by the spiritual component of life, Jason loves to read everything from the Greek classics to the Sunday comics.
Unafraid to tackle topics many people don't want to talk about, Jason has a concise, lighthearted style of writing about difficult subjects. From the serious to the humorous, Royle weaves stories that make you grin, ponder, and perhaps plunge anew into your own leaps of faith.
Jason holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work, a Master's in New Testament Theology, and a Doctorate in Ministry. Today he lives with his wife and four children (two human, two canine) in Schaefferstown, PA, where he serves as pastor of two congregations: St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Schaefferstown, PA, and Grace United Church of Christ, Richland, PA.
